These are a great chance to develop your skills and experience, while being involved in projects right at the heart of the University. Volunteers, Lincoln City Community Football Festival (April 25th)

On Saturday 25th April a football festival will be held at Lincoln City Football Club for community groups, supplementary schools and parents to bring children along for a fun football day.

The day will run from 12. 30pm until 5pm and volunteers may be required from 12pm onwards. Participants will range from 7 years old up to 16 years old.

Volunteers would be required to help with the organising of the day, officiating of matches and also stewarding and directing children to their next station.

School of Sport & Exercise Science Alumni Event (March 9th, 5pm)

All are invited to the School’s annual Alumni Event which is taking place in the Moot Court in the David Chiddick Building (BL1102, Business & Law) between 5.00pm and 7.00pm on Monday 9th March.

This is a great opportunity for students to meet alumni from a range of sport and exercise-related professions, and to gain advice and tips about pursuing diverse careers.  The alumni will introduce themselves briefly, followed by an informal session where you will have the chance to speak to them individually. A buffet and drinks will be provided.

England Golf Paid Internship (April to September 2015)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support England Golf‘s Championship and Performance departments in an administration role. This is a paid 6-month placement from April to September.

The Championship department runs national championships, scratch events and a wide range of handicap competitions for players of all ages and abilities.

The Performance department manages the National Squad Performance Programme with the aim of developing English golfers through a comprehensive support system and competitive play at a wide variety of tournaments in different conditions.

The Office Administrator (Intern) position will support the administration in both departments and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Reliable data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Competence in the use of IT tools including spreadsheets, email and word processing
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Knowledge of the game of golf is not essential.

The post is full-time (Monday – Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm core hours) and is based at England Golf Headquarters, The National Golf Centre, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.

Salary Band 1 (£11,700 – £14,300 per annum, pro rata)

Gymnastics Coaches/Volunteers Needed (Lincoln City Gymnastics)

Lincoln City Gymnastics Club are currently looking for more volunteers/coaches to assist with the high demand of interest they are receiving.

They are a thriving British Gymnastics Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Club with around 100 members, based at the Jubilee Hall, St Peter and St Paul’s School, Lincoln. They run Recreational and Squad training for gymnasts of all ages and levels of ability.

Experience and knowledge of gymnastics would be useful but not essential! Candidates would receive training alongside their supportive coaching team and the opportunity for Level 1 and 2 coaching qualification is also available
