Sport & Exercise Science Opportunities Fair, Thurs 30th November

On Thursday 30th November the School will be hosting its annual Opportunities Fair – bringing many of our partner organisations together into one place where you can hear more about opportunities to work with them, and having the chance to speak with them on an informal basis. This is the best chance during the year for all the School’s students to connect with organisations both external to and inside the University, and find out about their opportunities. Each organisation will give a one-minute introduction to themselves and their openings, after which there will be time to meet their staff. Refreshments will be provided.

When: Thursday 30th November at 5pm or 6pm
Where: Biomechanics Lab
Who: Essential for all students

In order to maximise the number of students who can participate, the event will essentially run twice: with the set of introductions being delivered at 5pm and 6pm. All students are strongly encouraged to attend one or the other.Confirmed attendees so far include the following (with another coaching company and some schools amongst those we are still hoping will also be able to attend):

The team from USA Summer Camp will be on campus to talk about opportunities at their camps:

“USA Summer Camp gives you the opportunity to spend your summer living and working in the US,  teaching American campers all the sports, hobbies and skills that you know and love. Not only will you spend every day doing what you love in the American sunshine, but you’ll get paid for it too!

You will also meet people from around the world and spend up to a month travelling America after your contract is done. USA Summer Camp is a cultural exchange provider offering summer work experiences at over 500 summer camps in America. Food and accommodation will be provided whilst you work. We placed 100% of our participants at camp in summer 2017, so we know that we can get you to America for the summer of a lifetime!

Come meet the team to find out how you can spend your summer in America. In our presentation, we’ll cover what it’s like to work at summer camp, what opportunities are available for you and how to prepare for your summer with USA Summer Camp.”
