While the activities being investigated occur outside the curriculum, with the relevant skills being best learned “on the job”, guidance and preparation for taking advantage of these opportunities is usually undertaken within the curriculum. The student-produced guide would be utilised on sport-related programmes, but the wider findings of the project would be of value to those designing employability modules in other disciplines.
