Positive Futures are looking for Dance Leaders to support the community delivery of their Dance sessions and potentially support at any local community or county event. The levels of dance that are available around the county run from basic introductory sessions for 8 to 12 year olds through to technical and fitness work suitable for all young people of an ability that would like to progress into a structured group or dance school. Areas of delivery are Boston, Gainsborough, Grantham, Boston, Lincoln North and South, Skegness and South Holland. Lincolnshire County Council is a committed to supporting volunteers by offering out of pocket expenses.

Activities that the volunteer may be asked to assist with are:

Registering Young People
Completing Young Person Information
Supporting delivery of warm up
Delivery of main body of session
Cool down
Young person support
Motivation

Sports Fitness and Conditioning Ambassador (Volunteer)

The University of Lincoln Students’ Union is offering an excellent student volunteer opportunity for an exercise professional who is passionate, driven and enthusiastic to deliver these Sports fitness and conditioning sessions, which will be a part of the Social Sport Sessions.

This person would need to be able to deliver a fun, safe and structured dynamic Gym Sports Fitness and Conditioning class that will take place in the University of Lincoln Sports Centre Fitness Suite. The session will be focused at meeting the needs of BUCS teams and their members that are wishing to increase and improve their personal fitness levels and to motive students to become and stay active.

You will be supplied with an Akuma Hoodie, alongside ongoing support from the School of Sport and Exercise Science, The University of Lincoln Students’ Union and Sport Lincoln to make these sessions a success.

Starting Date Thursday 5th October 2017 (10 weeks)

Required Availability Thursday Evenings 9:00pm-10:00pm (05/10/17 – 07/12/17)

Essential Gym Instructor/REPs/CIMSPA Qualification at level 2/level 3; Understanding of safe gym and exercise practice application; Experience within a gym setting and delivering group exercise classes

Hykeham Town Ladies 1st Team Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist Needed – Voluntary Position

Hykeham Town Ladies 1st Team are seeking voluntary support in the role of a Physiotherapist/Sport Therapist. Hykeham Town F.C. is a FA Charter Standard Club that is committed to supporting its workforce. The successful appointment will be supported through qualifications such as an FA Emergency First Aid, FA Safeguarding Children and others as and when required. The successful appointment will also be supported and required to go through a FA CRB Check. It is expected that you have a recognised qualification in sports therapy/physiotherapy (e.g. Level 3 in Sports Massage Therapy).

Location: Priory City of Lincoln Academy (Thursday evenings: 7:30pm – 9pm) / Ruston Sports & Social (Sunday’s ‘Home Fixtures’ 1pm – 4pm) / Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire (Sunday ‘Away Fixtures’ – timings TBC on a weekly basis)

Responsible to:  Hykeham Town Ladies 1st Team Manager & Director of Football

Purpose of Post: To deliver injury therapy services to all players involved in the Hykeham Town Ladies First Team at training and weekly fixtures. Promote and protect the health and wellbeing of all players within the team.
