//Lincolnshire FA Girls’ Centre of Excellence are holding a CPD event on Saturday 2nd August at Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School. The session will run from 10.30am to 2.00pm and will cover ACL preventative warm ups and strength & conditioning.
Anyone interested in the Coaching or Strength & Conditioning volunteer roles at the Centre is welcome to attend. If so, please let Sandy Willmott know as soon as possible.
//Lincolnshire FA Girls’ Centre of Excellence have a large number of volunteer opportunities for the 2014/5 season. Up to three volunteers are needed in each of these areas:
1. Coaching: Support qualified coaches in the delivery of the coaching syllabus.
2. Video Analysis: Video games/training to assist player development through video analysis/de-brief.
3. Strength & Conditioning: Support the S&C lead in delivering a programme of S&C, and provide 1-1 support to nominated individual players at an elite level.
The roles will be based at Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School and will be supported and mentored by qualified coaches.
Full details of the roles and how to apply will be available soon via the University’s Sports Volunteering Opportunities page, but please let Sandy Willmott know if you might be interested in the positions. The S&C volunteers can start as early as Tuesday 5th August, for example.
//The University is hosting a small-sided football referee course on 4th June, 10.00 – 4.00. The cost of this course is £60. There is a possibility of reimbursement of up to £40 for those who fulfill certain criteria. Included with the course cost is also a FA Safeguarding Children course (3hr workshop, usual cost circa £25).

Additionally, should anyone just wish to attend the Safeguarding Children workshop for a cost of £20 (RRP £25) then you can do so by contacting Chris Ng. The workshop will held in the HPC’s Coach Education Suite, Tuesday 3rd of June, 2014 from 2pm – 5pm.

//Lincolnshire FA are looking to appoint a University Football Activator to lead and co-ordinate the development of football/futsal at the University. The role will be to introduce new players and create new teams and leagues whilst ensuring that all participants have a quality experience regardless of ability. The Activator will also work with student leaders through engagement with the LFA Football Futures Programme and aim to strengthen the university’s links to the wider football community.

//Damian Froggatt, the head coach of Lincoln City FC’s Academy, will be coming in on Thursday 8th May to give a presentation on how students can get involved with the Academy. The session will be in the Coaching Suite at 4pm and all are welcome!
