An opportunity has arisen to work as a Performance Analysis Intern at Lincoln City alongside Liam Youngs (Senior Performance Analyst). Liam would like to offer an internship opportunity to a willing 2nd or 3rd year student from any course within the School of Sport & Exercise Science. This role would give the person(s) a great insight into the demands of football and also a possible future career in sport. Liam had this same role himself last season and found it to be a fantastic opportunity that led to a full-time role following the completion of his degree.
Liam is keen to get the new intern started as soon as possible, to become familiar with new software etc. He would need from you an up-to-date CV and a cover letter (maximum of 1 page). He would prefer that all CVs and cover letters are sent to him (liam_youngs@hotmail.com) before Wednesday 4th July. If you have any questions please also contact Liam as soon as possible, but he has provided this description:
“The main part of the job role would be to film Lincoln City matches and training sessions. As I understand this is the students’ summer period, this opportunity would start as soon as possible to ensure that they receive the best learning experience before university resumes; the individual would be better able to get much of their learning in before term starts. The role is voluntary and unpaid for the duration of 1 year, but the experience that can be gained can further a career, as it did my own.”
