Interested in Performance Analysis? Local opportunities available

We have a number of excellent opportunities for students who would like to gain performance analysis experience with local sports teams. These include hockey, rugby and football but you do not necessarily need to be a player of that particular sport to become involved.

These types of opportunity have served as the springboard in recent years for students to progress to careers with professional clubs or postgraduate studies in related areas. Relevant experience is essential in this very competitive field!

If you would like to know more  – or to register an interest – please contact Sandy Willmott at swillmott@lincoln.ac.uk . The positions would be suitable either for individuals or for small groups of students who might want to share a role.

Learn About Teacher Training (October 6th)

All School of Sport & Exercise Science students are invited to attend a seminar on Tuesday 6th October that will cover teacher training options such as the PGCE route, School Direct etc. The session will be led by Cathy Thomas and Rachael Sharpe (from the School of Education) and will provide advice on topics such as applications and career options.

The session will start at 1pm in MB1009 and is for all students with an interest in teaching, whether that is PE, primary or other subjects.

It is strongly recommended that any third-year students looking to apply for teacher training attend this seminar; this is the main opportunity for you to receive guidance before your applications would need to be completed. (One third year module do have a timetabled clash, and alternative arrangements will be made for anyone in that group who is interested in a teaching career.)
