Paddle-Ability Foundation Module (May 14th)

Lincoln Canoe Club will be hosting a Paddle-Ability Foundation Module at the University on Wednesday 14th May, from 6-9pm in MB1020. This is a classroom-based course which will provide an introduction to disability awareness in paddle sports – including communication and basic coaching skills, use of equipment, health & safety, and appropriate terminology covering many ranges of disabilities.

The Canoe Club have kindly agreed that a few members of the School can attend the session. If you are interested in attending, please email Sandy Willmott at swillmott@lincoln.ac.uk as soon as possible.

 

Physical Activity Organisers, Inspire+ (Deadline: 20th June)

Sports charity Inspire+, in conjunction with the School Sport Partnerships of Lincolnshire, is looking to recruit two Physical Activity Organisers operating from designated host schools across Lincolnshire within specific parts of the county to lead and embed the Change 4 Life initiative in primary schools across Lincolnshire.

They are looking for people with a degree in sport/ health or who have experience working with young people in these areas.  This role will be a school term time contract plus 2 weeks with a salary range of between £20,000-£23,000 pro rata.  It is envisaged that the two positions will have either a north or south of Lincolnshire responsibility.

3. Students Consulting on Teaching – two students from Sport & Exercise Science are being sought to provide feedback to lecturers on their sessions.

Strength & Conditioning Intern, Leicester Tigers

Leicester Tigers Academy have a work experience opportunity within their Developing Player Programme. The role is for a DPP Strength and Conditioning Coach Voluntary Intern. Full details can be found here:  DPP S&C Internship Overview.
