Disability Football Volunteer Coordinator, Lincoln

Lincolnshire FA are looking to recruit two Disability Football Volunteer Coordinators. The Lincolnshire Ability Counts Football League is a PAN-Disability league that provides Adult & Junior disability teams from across the county with the opportunity to come together at a central venue and compete. The league works unlike any other league within the county and operates purely on a festival basis where teams will compete one Sunday a month. This year the Ability Counts League is embarking on its sixth year of competition and is going from strength to strength, developing each year and hopes to expand over the next few years to incorporate female participants.

Role: To lead and co-ordinate on monthly fixture days, ensuring that you are the main point of contact for all clubs/ volunteers/ officals within the league on the day. The commitment will be six hours per month.

Key Responsibilities:

· Initial set-up of 5v5 format pitches across the 3G & 5v5 grass pitch on arrival of fixture days, before other teams arrive

· Coordinate with referees on their arrival and provide them with their fixtures for the day

· Ensure all clubs/ teams have the relevant copy of their league fixtures for the day

· Ensure relevant documents are signed on the exchange of referee payments

· Develop strong links with the league committee and the local community clubs that attend

Sport/Fitness Apprentice, Carre’s Grammar School (July 17, 12pm)

Carre’s  Grammar School in Sleaford are looking to recruit a Sport/Fitness Apprentice to work within its community sport department.

The role will appeal to those who have recently graduated with a relevant degree and will involve assisting with the staffing of the Sports Hall, Fitness Facility and all weather pitch, working various evening and weekend shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in gaining practical experience in the Sport and Fitness industry, or for those who may be considering a future career in Coaching, Physiotherapy, PE teaching or Personal Training.

Skills that a suitable person will have include:

  • A good understanding of customer service;
  • High quality inter-personal skills;
  • An enthusiastic approach to sport/physical activity and its development;
  • Reliable and good organisational skills;
  • An awareness of basic health and safety;
  • A fitness and first aid qualification, although this can be provided for the right candidate.

This position will initially be on a fixed 12 month contract, working 30 hours per week over four days, and will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to gain a relevant NVQ qualification.

Salary: Apprentice wage

Physical Literacy Coach, Carre’s Grammar School (July 12th, 12pm)

Carre’s  Grammar School in Sleaford are looking for an enthusiastic person to join their Community Sport Team as a Physical Literacy Coach (Outreach). Their aim is to continue to increase the quality and breadth of physical education and school sport across a network of partner primary schools. The successful candidate will help them achieve this by being ready to:

· plan and deliver innovative physical education sessions and competitions;

· work from a skills based PE curriculum;

· support teachers to deliver high quality PE;

· deliver competitions within a cluster of schools;

· develop successful hub community clubs and holiday activity programmes;

· commit to self-reflection and personal development.

The successful candidate will work across Key Stages 1 and 2 so some knowledge and experience of working with this age group is essential. They should also be a keen team player capable of working unsupervised. They will need to be well organised, reliable and an excellent communicator.

Due to the rural nature of the area, the successful applicant will be required to get themselves from one session to the next. A mileage allowance is payable in addition to the salary.

The current plan sees the coach working all day Monday then afternoons only from Tuesday to Friday. There is the potential for additional hours pay to be claimed through the delivery of additional sessions. If these are in an evening, the coach will start their working day at lunch time. This is a one year post that could grow in hours and could be continued subject to continued buy-in from partner schools.

Salary: £15,014 per annum pro rata

(20 hrs per week with the possibility of additional hours on a claims basis)
